Annotation:

The aim of the project is the study of the effect of lipopolysaccharide-induced acute inflammation on the expression and distribution of Cx43, Cx40 and Cx37 in the aorta of Wistar, SHR and HTG rats. To investigate the effect of inflammation on the ultrastructural integrity of intercellular junctions in endothelium and smooth muscle cells. To investigate the effect of omega-3 fatty acids on distribution and expression of connexin and structure of intercellular junctions in the aorta of Wistar, SHR and HTG after induction of inflammation. Treatment regulating Cx function may break inflammatory cycle, restrict inflammatory spread and enable vascular recovery.
